I don’t know quite how it’s happened, but I’m yet to have anybody in my social circle have a kid. If you’d asked me a decade ago, I’d probably have been certain that I would be on speaking terms with at least one person who had a baby.

I feel that it’s unlikely for me to be the one who breaks this trend, unless my life does a dramatic 180. However, it does leave me thinking about how I’m going to react when the first friend who I spent so many debaucherous, carefree times with announces that their family is going to expanding.

This is something that one deliberately childfree Redditor has been struggling with recently. While some of her family members already have children who she loves, she turned to the platform to admit that she was struggling to summon up the enthusiasm for even more pregnancy announcements.
