Everybody remembers a moment from school when a teacher abjectly humiliated them in front of the whole class. I have several such moments, but this one sticks out in my mind as being wholly inappropriate. I had a Mormon 8th-grade science teacher that I did not care for much. She literally forgot my name halfway through the year, and from then on, I did not trust her. At the end of the school year, I threw up on the school bus coming back from the 8th grade field trip. I cannot think of a worse time and place for a middle schooler to vom in public. The next day, the science teacher said, «I was feeling a little nauseous too,» in front of my entire class. I’ve never seen someone have less tact in all my life.
