Dude Freaks Out After Woman on Dating App Says His Profile Appeals to «The Female Gaze»

Dating apps are wild places. They’re great for getting two people in the same room, but they’re far less good at facilitating good conversation. You might have to be slightly corny in your opening line to get any attention among a sea of attractive and interesting people. Even if you don’t get into super deep conversation with someone on Hinge, Bumble, or Tinder, you at least get an idea if you actually want to meet them. Small talk can tell you a surprisingly large amount about someone, and their response to innocuous comments can be a huge red flag before you are even in the same room as them.

One Twitter guy thought he was really funny yesterday by tweeting a message a woman sent on a dating app. She said, «your profile is insanely catered to the female gaze,» and he captioned his tweet, «Yeah it’s a dating app you dumb h*.» After she found out he had tweeted about it, he went on a verbal rampage nobody could’ve seen coming.
