Everyone who is a devoted pet owner becomes mildly obsessed with every tiny thing that their animal does. Like the surrogate children they often are, it’s hard not to be kind of proud when they do even the stupidest things. People who have dogs are big culprits of this, and it’s not hard to see why. Their canine friends are just so adorably goofy.

For those of us whose dogs have us wrapped around their paw, the tiniest movement or facial expression is enough to inspire endless heartfelt amusement. It’s no wonder that this has been carried over into memes, celebrating this at its most absurd. So long as dogs never stop being so entertaining, the internet will never stop using them as a vehicle for humor.
