For all intents and purposes, Facebook is now for the Boomers. Millennials and Gen-Z mostly use it to stay in touch with older family members. Long gone are the days of everyone and their dogs posting statuses, sharing new albums every weekend, and sending friend requests left and right. Oh god, don’t get us started on «poking»… *shutters* However, the one place where every generation comes together on Facebook is the Marketplace. It can actually be a great place to find good priced furniture, appliances, or anything. However, like Craigslist, it has some shady aspects to it. The most hilarious are the chats that happen between seller and customer on Marketplace. Most of the time it’s interested buyers who obviously do not understand how messenger works and sometimes it’s some real creeps. Plus, like in any situation where an exchange of money is included on the internet, you have to be wary of scams.
