There are a number of reasons for this, and house flippers are definitely one of them. They seem to think that a lick of paint and a dubious extension will net them hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit, and sadly, they’re often right. 

It remains to be seen if this is the case for a home that has gone up for sale in one TikToker’s neighborhood, after it underwent a ridiculous renovation. Originally bought for $250k, viewers were shocked by how much the current owners were trying to sell it for. Guess all non-rich millennials and Gen Z are going to be stuck renting for a little while longer!
