William Knight — aka that guy who doesn’t blink and spends a lot of time talking about coincidences — has explained a video from his account @grandrisingapp that has been terrorizing the internet for the past week. The recording shows him having an unexpected encounter with a hapless jogger in the middle of filming, leading to him giving her a stony glare which makes her scream off-camera. 

With many viewers raising questions about his reaction and decision to post the video, Knight has released a follow up by way of explanation. Apparently, the whole incident was a lesson in dealing with «costly interruptions» and replacing negative thoughts with «gratitude». 

Needless to say, not many people found his explanation particularly reassuring. The jury is still out on what happened to the woman, and his true thoughts on the matter (was she the manifestation of a negative thought?). However, one thing this supposed clarification has done is confirm Knight’s ability to court viral controversy and keep people hanging on his bewitching gaze.
