Things are not looking good in the world of Twitter right now. I’m trying to stay optimistic; I’m not planning on leaving this app before my official 10-year anniversary on my current account in February 2023. In fact, I’m not trying to leave Twitter at all, which makes the addition of ‘views’ on tweets so disheartening. This feature literally adds nothing to the experience and makes everybody sad that people didn’t like their tweets! I’ve been trying to train my eye not to look at the views on my tweets, but there’s no use. I know that 700 people saw my tweet, and only 17 people liked it, and there’s nothing I can do about it. There are new bad features seemingly on the way, like getting rid of publicly liked tweets! If it wasn’t for looking at the profiles of Twitter accounts my friends ‘liked,’ my feed would be nowhere near it is today. If you’re dreading the end of Twitter as much as I am, these tweets and memes will provide you with laughs without the doom.
