‘Once it hits the fridge I’m out’: Husband who refuses to eat leftovers fans debate between food-reheaters and leftover-haters

Leftovers are a large part of my diet. I’m a woman on the go, so the time I have free to cook… let’s just say Martha Stewart would be disappointed. But I also don’t have the budget to be constantly taking myself out for dinner, so that leaves leftovers. I’ll cook a big soup and eat it throughout the week. I hope my roommate made something good for me to steal when I leave for work in the mornings. I scrounge, and I microwave. I am a modern woman.

But that said, I understand why some people gag at the sight of a Tupperware in the microwave. Sometimes leftovers are gross. Sometimes they are compromised versions of the thing you just enjoyed. Sometimes I’ll meal prep and then want to jump off a bridge when I have to eat what I’ve prepped. Life is fickle that way. But some people draw a hard line, and to those people, I say: How do you live? That’s exactly what kicked off this juicy Twitter thread.
