People Debate If We Should Be Getting Stressed Over Phone Calls

After being shut inside for the best part of two years, it’s fair to say that many of us have become a lot more anti-social. The fact that most were nursing some serious device addictions long before that only made the whole thing worse. For the most privileged among us, anything we could ever need is merely a series of taps away — no matter whether we’re talking about groceries or social contact.

It’s no wonder that it has made a lot of us wary when it comes to doing human interaction in all the old-fashioned ways. However, try as we might to avoid it, even those with the most committed social phobia have to admit that it’s sometimes necessary to talk like we used to do.

This has recently been the subject of an argument on Twitter, sparked after @ErrantScience posted a comic about how having to take a call in the middle of our day can be upsetting. While some were in agreement with them, others questioned how we had got to a point where one of our greatest fears was talking on the very things that we spend most of our time on each day. Not all phone calls are necessary, but they also don’t have to be bad.
