Eyeglasses have saved billions from a world of blurriness in their time, but they really make you work for the privilege. For an accessory that so many can’t do without, they are famously impractical — and the perfect magnet for childhood bullies, too. 

Nevertheless, they still do an admirable job of keeping a lot of people from semi-blindness. It’s only right we celebrate that with some memes. Contact lenses aren’t half as iconic.
