Reading: people perceive it as an incredibly virtuous hobby until they think you’re doing it wrong. Some people find it blasphemous to write in a book while you’re reading it, which I find silly. How else are you going to be able to refer back to important sections when you really need to find them? Other people think that reading can only be done on a page, claiming that audiobooks or e-books are inferior imitations of the real thing. To that, I say some of the most important reading I’ve ever done has been on an iPad’s Books app, not to mention it’s so much easy to move if you use digital books. 

In spite of naysayers, there are some traits that readers can reflect on and say, «This might not be the best possible way to consume literature.» Readers from across Twitter shared some of their «toxic reading traits,» and I can’t lie and say I have never done any of these things.
