The Scooby-Doo franchise is near and dear to many of our hearts. The property has existed for over 50 years in so many different variations. Whether you’re a fan of the original early 70’s run, the campy live-action movies of the early aughts, or whatever the most modern version of the show, it goes without saying that Scooby-Doo and the gang transcend a targeted age group. Scooby-Doo is for everyone and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Personally, I grew up with the direct-to-VHS movies. Movies like Cyberchase, Zombie Island, or that one where Scooby-Doo and Shaggy get romantically involved with hippy aliens. To me, that was the golden age. I think a lot of fans agree, but that’s probably biased. If you’re experiencing this media as a mostly happy child, you’re probably going to remember it fondly. The two live-action movies by James Gunn are also indisputable classics.
