Memes aren’t made to be treated very well. At worst, they get scrolled past without a second thought. At best they get endlessly screenshotted and sent to various group chats, until they’re so deep fried you can practically see through them. In short, most memes do not last very long. How often, truly, do we scroll back in our camera roll to see all the dumb things that we found funny two years ago? It’s not a regular occurrence for most people. Memes that get put into the archives may as well have been out with the rest of the garbage, as far as the average consumer is concerned. 

Nonetheless, we still maintain an appetite for even more internet humor. Luckily, there are plenty of people out there who are more than happy to oblige. There is always something new around the corner. Memes may be temporary, but memeing is forever.
