One of the most annoying things about many office-based jobs is that everything is so stressful for no reason. That deadline is just an arbitrary, made up date supposed to kick you up the butt about spreadsheets! That incredibly important email you’ve been putting off for a week will barely get read the whole way through, and will probably receive an «ok – Sent From My iPhone» in reply! None of this, none of this at all matters!! 

It’s enough to drive even the sanest person crazy, and it often does. It makes it that much more necessary for us to have an outlet for every pointless thing that we get paid for. 

This is where the memes come in. They’ve clocked their eight hours a day, five days a week, and they’re completely ready to complain about it. It takes some of the burden off the rest of us, and that’s what really matters.
