Dad refuses to give late son’s college fund to his ex-wife’s stepson, travels to Belgium to drink beer instead: ‘My ex says I’m wasting thousands of dollars’

When somebody close to you passes away, there are so many little things you have to do that you never would’ve expected. It’s not enough that you’re majorly grieving the loss of someone that you love with all your heart, but you also have to cancel their credit cards, nix all of their subscriptions, and figure out what to do with their things. Funeral arrangements are a common stressor, but people don’t talk enough about how hard it is to wrap up someone’s life in ways that aren’t explicitly in their wills.

His ex-wife had other ideas about how to use that money «better.»
