One of the rudest awakenings of adulthood is that summer break ceases to exist (unless you become a teacher, that is, but then you end up having to prep through it anyway). The process starts slowly at first, perhaps taking a weekend job in high school, or doing temp work in the time off you get from college to give you something to live on when you’re actually studying. Then, before we know it, we’re thrust into the bleak and unforgiving world of full-time work. 

As a society, we’re expected to suck this up and get on with it, but that’s easier said than done. Even the most seasoned employee can’t help but look out of the window of the workplace on a beautiful summer’s day and wish that they were on vacation. While memes can’t magically make this happen, at least they can take our minds off all the lucky kids who get the privilege of two months doing nothing.
