You know those «deep thoughts» circulating Facebook in crappy template format? The ones that are probably being shared by your drunk aunt or that completely unsubtle girl who is always going through something? Well, it’s time they got a bit of a refresh. It seems like it’s the most banal sentiments and relatable quips that get emblazoned on t-shirts, or even made into a neon sign for some Instagram-catering bar in, like, Nashville. What about the deep thoughts that everyday internet users are having on a regular basis? 

These thoughts actually have a name on Reddit. They’re referred to as «shower thoughts.» You know, because all our deepest thoughts happen when we finally get that precious alone time and we’re not staring at our phones. These musings are shared in the r/showerthoughts subreddit, and while some of them are admittedly idiotic, there are plenty of gems that ring true – for better or for worse.
