The Funniest Parenting Tweets of the Week (June 22, 2023)

Finding normal parent friends is equally important as your kid making friends. If your kid and another child play together on the playground, it’s all well and good, but if they have crazy parents, you’re a lot less likely to want to set up playdates with that kid. There’s a certain kind of magic that happens when a mom and kid find their new best friend in another mom and kid. My mom was lucky because she made a lot of friends with the parents of my sister’s friends. We would have entire holiday parties that were wholly made up of my sister’s friends and their parents. My friends, not so much. I went through a lot of duds when it came to friends, which led to me hanging out with all the dads during the 4th of July barbeque. If you’re a parent who’s on the lookout for some parent/kid friendship combos, these parenting tweets might ring true.
