One of the hardest things that parents do is something they do almost every day: waking up their kids in the morning and getting them ready for school. As we all know, getting out of bed is one of the worst feelings in the world, especially if school is waiting for you on the other side. The amount of times I faked sick as a kid just to be able to stay in bed is… not zero. 

Bless the parents whose jobs are making their kids do their best to attend since waking up a kid is no easy task. They will fight, bargain, and lie through their teeth just to get some extra Z’s. What often got me up was the promise of a fresh bowl of cereal waiting downstairs to be scarfed down before the school bus. Now, of course, it’s my americano with oat that does the trick.
