Wattpad fiction isn’t here to reflect real life, and that’s why it focuses on scenarios like these, rather than the dull, dating app infested reality of many. Above all, dating should be fun, but there isn’t always a lot of joy to be found when we do it online. The things you can come across while innocently swiping through profiles are enough to ruin anyone’s day, and that’s before you have the misfortune of matching with somebody who immediately reveals themselves as a weirdo.
