Twitter Expresses Bafflement Over Controversy About Influencer Mom Wishing for a Healthy Baby

One of the truest tweets to have ever been tweeted deals with breakfast foods. It talks about how many people on social media always try to find the most bad faith take of what you’re saying.

You can say » I like pancakes» and somebody will say «So you hate waffles?»

No b*tch. Dats a whole new sentence. Wtf is you talkin about.

Almost six years after this thought was put out in the world, it still makes far too much sense. This is especially true when it comes to those kinds of topics that everyone inevitably has an opinion on, such as parenting. Many moms and dads struggle with the idea that they can’t do anything right, and this often feels worse if they have a significant presence online

Yet another Instagram mommy influencer fell foul of this recently, when she posted a Reel saying that she cared a lot more about having a healthy baby than what its gender was.

Some viewers interpreted this as a slight against children with health problems, and when it reached Twitter, people were less than impressed. Those who had kids with poor health and also experienced it themselves were quick to point out that this was a pretty ungenerous interpretation. All in all, it seems like yet another case in favor of not posting about your family.
