One of the greatest things about having a cat is that you could have had the worst day possible at work, and when you get home there’s a small furry creature there that has dug litter everywhere and is going to keep meowing at you until you feed them. It’s a great distraction from everything else, right?

I jest, but as many kitty fans will tell you, sharing your life with a cat or several has some genuinely therapeutic qualities. That being said, not everybody has the privileged circumstances to acquire some feline friends. It’s just one of the many reasons that cat memes are such an invaluable resource. They allow all of us to enjoy the beauty and humor of these creatures, irrespective of whether we get to do that in our life otherwise. Also, they don’t come with the downsides of having to care for a temperamental pet.
