Italians are such a vital part of meme culture. Well, maybe it’d be more accurate to say non-Italian stereotypes about Italians are prime meme fodder and have been for years. We are constantly parodying Italian hand gestures because they are just that superior. We can’t shut up about pasta and pizza and how Americans have transformed them into something entirely unrecognizable for an Italian. We will be referencing The Sopranos until the day we die. I’ll at least be referencing it until another top-3 show about the plight of the modern Italian American mobster comes around, and even then, I will never let «gabagool» stop exiting my lips. My Italian friend once said that Italians are one of the only nationalities that are socially acceptable to make fun of. I hope any real Italians scrolling through these Italian memes can see them as the lighthearted ribbing that they are, and if so, they will amore them.
