I wonder if dogs have memories. Like if they can look back in their minds and think, «That was a really nice day.» Or «The last time I went to the groomer was a couple of months ago, I better brace myself» or «I hope owner accidentally drops a piece of pulled pork again like she did last week.» I’m not sure if they have a sense of time like that. I think they might just be constantly barreling ahead, living in the moment. 

We can probably learn a lot from that. Or maybe I’m wrong and they can harbor deep-seated resentments and nostalgia. I wonder if they think life was easier when they were a puppy. Perhaps we will never know. But we can look at these dog memes and begin to understand our furry friends a little bit better. Memes give us insight in a way that not much else gives us.
