Let’s take a moment for all the kids that got exactly what they wanted from Santa this year: a puppy. Think of all the kiddos who awoke on Christmas morning to a new member of the family, barking, and topped with a red ribbon. In my opinion, it’ll be the best gift they ever receive. To grow up with a dog is one of life’s greatest pleasures. I always called my dog my brother, because I was an only child and he protected me like a sibling would. 

Giving a puppy as a gift is not something to be taken lightly, however. You have to make sure they’re ready for it, since dogs are a true commitment. They’re more work than a cat, and only slightly less work than a baby. But it’s also a great way to teach kids responsibility, so I’m all for it. And then you can look at these dog memes together- the perfect bonding activity.
