A dog is one of the most foolproof ways to cheer a person up. Sure, it this comes with the conditions that both the dog and the person are good with each other. However, so long as that’s true it allows real magic to happen. So many of our canine companions are support animals and therapy pets with good reason.

I even experience this personally. By all accounts, the only obvious training that my family dog has is that she’s housebroken. Nonetheless, she still manages to put a smile on everybody’s face with her goofy antics and gentle personality. 

It’s something I wish everyone who wanted it had access to, but sometimes a consolation prize is all that we can take. Dog memes fit that bill pretty admirably. All they require is a couple of minutes of your time, and the improvement on your mood could last for much longer.
