Ah, the golden age of television. No, I’m not talking about Mad Men and Breaking Bad. I’m talking about the decade or so in the early 2000s/2010s when Jimmy Neutron, Spongebob, iCarly, and Fairly Odd Parents ruled the airwaves. This is my era. My Roman empire, if you will. Call it nostalgia, call it taste, I’m always yearning for that bygone time. There’s a coziness and warmth to these shows that makes you want to slip into a snuggie and daydream about your parents taking you on the Nickelodeon cruise. Did any of you actually go on one of those cruises? If so, I have questions, tempered with simmering jealousy. 

If you grew up on these shows, they’ll stay with you forever. And seeing memes about them will only bring back good feelings. So lay down your butter sock and get scrolling.
