I can’t wait to be thirty, flirty, and thriving. Everyone talks about how jumping from your late twenties to your early thirties can be scary. I look at it through a different lens. You go from being the most cantankerous old person in your twenties to being the youngest, most effervescent diva in your thirties. 29 is ancient, but 30 is rebirth and renewal. 

I don’t want to rush through my twenties by any means, but I’m not one of those 23-year-olds who think you’re washed up and old by the time you reach your thirties. That’s a foolish take that young people have had for generations, but it’s always a relief when they turn 30 and realize they are much better overall than they were when they were 22. We are not living in the 1950s anymore; women’s value does not disappear the second they turn 26, and it never has.
