Nothing like tucking into a plate of your favorite food. It’s hot, it’s tasty, and your fork is primed to do some damage. For me, it might be a plate of my dad’s mac n cheese, or an array of really good sushi rolls, or a fresh slice of Neapolitan-style pizza. I’m a simple girl. That first mouthful is always something to cherish, and I’m chasing that first bite feeling for the rest of the meal. The heartbreak of the last bite is sometimes too much to bear. I’ll delay the inevitable as long as possible until that one impossible nugget is staring a hole through my soul. Then, with a single tear streaming down my face, I finish the job.
