Some people say that diamonds are forever. It’s a classic adage that suggests only a diamond will ensure a lifetime of marital commitment.  Unfortunately, judging by all the divorced people in this world, the saying is pretty damn misleading. Very little lasts forever – even this planet can’t escape eventual destruction – it’s an eventuality that becomes more apparent every day (hello, climate change). But for this point in time, and probably as long as we mortals are still kicking, we will have memes. They’re always here for us when we need to be cheered up. Unlike philandering partners, self-absorbed and flaky friends, or rightfully estranged family members. We can always count on comedy.
