What makes life worth living has been a philosophical question that has perplexed many over the ages. The proposed answers have varied wildly, from material achievements, to honor, to nothing at all. However, clear away the controversies and it’s easy to see what makes most of us happy: all those good, wholesome interactions that make us feel loved and wanted, or seeing that happen to other people.
