A Group of Beverages That Desperately Need Actual Cups

Anyone who has ever seen a toddler try and drink from a grown up cup for the first time can appreciate that consuming liquid is quite a complex motor function. There’s a reason we developed specific receptacles for drinking from, and that’s because it is a feat to do that without their help. Despite their necessity, not everybody has the same respect for these most humble but most important of inventions. Worse still, they feel the need to try and innovate with drinking receptacles when there is alcohol involved. If we’re honest with ourselves, we need cups. We are helpless little babies without something to put our hydration (and other things) in. Long story short: don’t f with the humble glass.

Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way, especially if they happen to be a bar that thinks of themselves as edgy. For some reason, cups have gone the way of plates in terms of ‘creativity’, i.e. making the consumption experience as awkward as possible. Let’s put this out of fashion.
