One of the biggest downsides of being into memes is that there is very little in the way of quality control. On the one hand, it’s great that just about anyone can go out there and say what they want to say via the form of a catchy and amusing communicative device. On the other, it allows just about anyone to say whatever they like in a way a general audience finds easy to digest even if it doesn’t have a great message, or just isn’t that good.

In theory, a list like this should siphon off some of the garbage, but the reality is that it’s never going to always cater to everybody’s different tastes, interests, or standards. The content is the luck of the draw, but that can also be part of the enjoyment. You never know, you might end up seeing something you never expected, but that ended up being worth it.
