In the society we all live in today, humiliation is just as inevitable as something like death or taxes. Cringe comes for us all at one point or another, no matter how savvy we like to think that we are at spotting it. As an inescapable part of being a person, many of both fear it and are fascinated by it at the same time. Why do we do it all? And why is it so fascinating to watch? Being unable to look away from somebody embarrassing themselves seems to be an inbuilt trait at this point, although it is rarely something that is pleasant to look at. Unluckily for us, this stuff is in abundance, especially when it comes to the internet. Seeing as people insist on producing even more cringe, we may as well keep looking at it. Just don’t get lost in the sea of awfulness out there.
