An Indiscriminate Splattering of Memes

If you’re a detail-orientated person, you probably have plenty of criticisms for memes. They are often low effort and messy, and they don’t always conform to the laws of common sense. Also, once you’ve seen enough of them you begin to realize that they repeat themselves a lot.

For all intents and purposes, there is a lot about memes on paper that should alienate a fair amount of people. Nonetheless, they are as popular as they’ve ever been. Even when they confound and disappoint us, the memes keep us crawling on back. They highlight that area of our brains that makes us want to keep returning to them, no matter what.

It’s a rare talent, and we have no choice to but to respect it. The best way to do that? Looking at more memes, of course. Any mistakes they may contain only add to their unfaltering and unique charms.
