There are many times in life when we encounter situations that leave us stunned. I genuinely believe that sometimes the best course of action is to have a sophisticated conversation and consider the sequence of events that brought about this current situation. Other times, though, I believe that we ought to simply opt for denial and hope that the issue will magically resolve itself by the time we have the energy to address it.

The story below is an account of a frustrated daughter-in-law. But rather than confronting the issue—that is, mother-in-law—head-on, the daughter-in-law finds herself at a loss for words and is utterly clueless about what to do next. I would think that after having children, our kind mother-in-law would steer her attention away from us wives, but it appears that our beautiful children merely serve as a means to control both us wives and our gullible husbands. 

As of late, we have had to muster our way through countless family occasions… I mean, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Birthdays, and the list goes on and on.
