Look, I’m not a parent. I can’t speak to how difficult it truly is to raise a child. I’m not necessarily a source of authority when it comes to parenting advice, but if your child is continuously loud, do everything in your power to stop the noise. If you’re actively making your child shriek, understand why the people around you might be irritated. 

Here we have an example of a parent doing the exact opposite of what was just outlined. Reddit user /u/Plane_Ad5416 posed a question in the /r/amithesshole subreddit. They asked, «AITA for making my baby laugh at a restaurant?» While that sounds generally innocuous, the user went on to describe how he continuously tickled the baby resulting in «happy yelling.» This went on for at least five minutes when an adjacent table asked for an end to the shrieking. The parent, of course, was offended and refused to quiet his baby. Feeling offended by the result of his lack of courtesy, he decided to ask Reddit to for validation.
