Job Seekers Lament the Most Outlandish Job Suggestions Indeed Recommended to Them

I was freshly 16 when I got my first paid job. Devoid of professional contacts and with the bare minimum of qualifications, I had no choice but to brave one of the scariest places on the internet: the part time listings on Indeed.

This infamous place bills itself as ‘The #1 job site worldwide’, and I’ll admit it got me into my first (and to date, only) crappy weekend retail position. I’ve flitted back to it over the years in times of extreme brokeness and/or job dissatisfaction, but it hasn’t always been the easiest to navigate.

One of the main reasons for this is that it never seems to know what you want. No matter how many roles you click on, it’s always throwing you curveballs that are completely inappropriate. This has been underlined in a recent Twitter thread, in which people shared the most bizarre recommendations that Indeed had given them. One thing’s for sure, they weren’t trying to fill all these positions.
