Throughout my life, I have encountered a fair share of affluent people. There are now two categories of wealth we ought to pay attention to. Old money would be the first, and new money would be the second. There are several ways to distinguish between the two, but their treatment of the help is by far the most noticeable. Old money tends to respect the help and treat them as equals, whereas new money treats the help as inferior to themselves—I realize I could be generalizing here… please don’t come for me! Another way to distinguish between the two would be their affection for well-known brands.
