Coding is the ultimate example of the need to manage expectations. If it’s not you who is hoping that your code is going to be all singing, all dancing, and walking a tightrope with no errors the first time around it will be your boss or your client who is expecting that. 

In reality, programming anything with even a little complexity can often involve a fair amount of going back to square 1. Even when you’re good at it, there are plenty of frustrations to be had. 

That’s why it’s important to have methods for taking some of the pressure off, such as programming memes. They might not magically fix that error that has been evading you, but they do know the pain of going through such an experience. They’re also here to celebrate some of the positives, too.
