It’s wild to me how in just a few short years, TikTok has changed so much about the internet that we use everyday. Platforms that used to be all about the static image have done full pivots to video (looking at you, Instagram and Twitter). It’s become almost normal for some random person that you know to try their hand at becoming a TikToker. Also, half the people who make TikToks speak in that annoying, uncanny valley cadence that is apparently a prerequisite for getting engagement.

When I look at it from this perspective, it doesn’t feel like this app has done us a lot of good. On the other hand, some of the content it produces is nothing short of hilarious. Just like any social media, TikTok has its fair share of crackpots and dumdums, but sometimes they’re entertaining! That can’t be denied when taking a look at a list like this.
