Being a woman sucks sometimes. There have always been certain situations that wind up being more dangerous for us, and it makes it all the more important that we have other women looking out for us as a result. Most who are decent friends would consider protecting one another from a potentially bad situation as a basic friendship duty, but these things can get twisted when the internet gets involved. 

This is exactly what happened in a recent viral video that was mocked, then commended for the capturing of one person looking out for another. In it, a drunk woman’s friend prevents an unknown man from getting close to her in a nightclub. While the video was posted in an attempt to mock the friend for her actions and appearance, many on Twitter immediately sprang to her defense. It’s pretty weird to be trying to make fun of this situation in the first place.
