My mom is an elementary school teacher, and I grew up hearing the craziest stories about students in school. From the most bizarre student names you’ve ever heard to the silliest questions asked in class to the wildest recess debacles, there was never a dull moment in my mom’s teaching career. As a teacher, your students are your source of entertainment all school year long. Some of those comedic breaks can help you catch your breath as you’re navigating the tumultuous waters of endless papers to grade and lesson plans to make. But all of that will be coming to an end! If you’re a teacher, you probably know exactly how many days you have left until summer break. I mean, cmon, you’re one, maybe two months out? Having summers off is one of the great perks of being a teacher. Seriously, what employee wouldn’t want to have a few months off in the middle of the year, during the best season, to be outdoors and enjoying it, and not stuck in an office all day working? Sure, teaching has its ups and downs, and you could argue about them all day long. But we won’t. Because summer is just around the corner and we’re determined to only look at the bright side. Cheers!
