It is all too easy to take the many memes we have consumed, are consuming, and will consume in the future for granted. They’re easy enough to find and they’re free, what more is there to think about? The thing is, it is probably a good idea to be a bit more grateful. For all it feels like they may last forever, we don’t know how long this gravy train of internet humor is going to last. We’ve also got to appreciate the years of work it took to get to this point: the technology, the advancements in society and culture, and of course, those who choose to aggregate it for you. Thinking about this stuff allows you to enjoy everything that tiny bit more, because you know that it goes far beyond the silly humor. Although, at the end of the day, that is what we have arrived here for.
