The Star Wars franchise has some of the best character names of any series, ever. For starters, the main ones: Anakin, Leia, Obi-Wan, Han. Now all instantly recognizable, but it wasn’t always that way. These names are close to names you’d hear on a day-to-day basis, but not quite. It puts them at somewhat of a distance with their unfamiliarity, but close enough that you can still relate. Now onto the side characters: Chewbacca (nothing has ever looked more like a Chewbacca), Yoda (immediately sounds wise and small), C-3PO (that’s a robot if I’ve ever heard of one). The names are memorable, evocative, and a little strange. 

I’m sure someone has named their baby after a Star Wars character. Let’s just hope they weren’t big Salacious B. Crumb fans. That one might be difficult on the playground. Now, off to the memes you go! And think about which Star Wars name you’d most like to have.
