A Bonny Bouquet Of Memes And The Like

Much like the weather, memes cycle through seasons. For a few months, we can’t move for variations on Wojaks; after that, it seems like snowclones are all anyone wants to talk about. There are as many types of memes as there are variations on rain, but they all serve the same purpose of watering our perpetually bored and distraction-seeking minds.

The dumb things that we consume on the internet differ from kinds of precipitation in that they are not essential or nourishing in any way, shape or form. It’s sort of the equivalent of watching loads of colorful plastic junk fall from the sky, and it’s just as hard to stop watching.

While trends may come and go, our need for fast and easily digestible humor springs eternal. That’s why no matter what they look like, most of us will always make time to pass judgment on a list of memes.
