Names can carry with them big expectations. When you name your child, you begin to set them up for a certain kind of life. Of course, you can overcome a bad name, but it is something to overcome. People carry a lot of baggage when it comes to names. Certain first names might make you think of your middle school bully, and thus you might be less inclined to trust them, while other names are instantly comforting and remind you of someone you love.
