Looking in from the outside, I’ve got to say one of the least fun parts of being a parent seems to be the guilt. It seems like involved moms and dads are forever wondering if the choices they make for their kids are the right ones, and they don’t always get a clear answer. 

They also face judgment from other parents for their choices, as was recently detailed in a controversial Twitter thread. In it, a stay-at-home mom denounced other moms who used daycare services, claiming they were missing out on «the best years of their kid’s life». #

While some were in agreement with her opinion, others felt she was bringing shame on other parents in a way that was both wrong and factually incorrect. The reality is, there is no one-size-fits-all all approach to parenting—and so long as you’re spending time with them too, it’s no bad idea to make sure they are around other kids.
