The longer I spend time on the internet, the more I shy away from expressing myself on it. I don’t really want to contribute to the general mess of everything unless I really have to. Also, there is always the threat of some unhinged individual lurking around a corner, ready to twist my words in some weird way. 

I know that there are plenty of people who feel the same way, but you know one place where they don’t exist? Facebook. Every boomer’s favorite platform seems to exist for those who are truly without a filter, and you’ve almost got to respect it. 

Unfortunately, this lack of filter can often tip into crackpot territory, but that’s the name of the game. All we can do is marvel at the wild content that this produces, both humorous and horrifying. The Facebook newsfeed can be a special place, and not always in a good way.
